DIY Health Insurance Quote
When you click the link above you'll be taken to a page that asks a few simple demographic questions. Once you've clicked through those you'll be shown all of the health insurance plans available to you in your zip code.
Here's some handy tips:
You have the option to view and apply for plans both 'OFF' and 'ON' the Exchange (healthcare.gov). Keep in mind that not all carriers offer plans both On and Off the Exchange - some are only available on one or the other.
If you are shopping ON Exchange plans, the premium price that shows is the estimated cost of what you would pay each month for that plan. Actual cost amounts can only be determined once you 'Check Eligibility'.
If you are shopping ON the Exchange plans and want to purchase a plan, you have to click the blue, 'Check Eligibility' button and follow the steps through healthcare.gov first. This will determine what kind of Premium Tax Credit you will be getting (i.e. how much your premium will cost each month).
You can sort available plans by Company Name, Play Type, Deductible, Metal Tier (On Exchange only) and Premium.
To compare plans side-by-side, click the small 'compare plans' button next to up to 4 plans you'd like to compare and then click the word 'compare'.
If you see something you like, you can apply right from the site.
